Easy and Delicious Low Carb & Low Cal Pizza !

We celebrated my brother in law’s birthday this evening. He was recently diagnosed with diabetes, so they have radically changed their diet. In doing so, he doesn’t need any meds to control his diabetes, he has lost 25 pounds, and he said the difference in how he feels is like night and day.

In following their new lifestyle change with their diet, my sister created a “make your own pizza” station for his birthday dinner. It was  low carb and low calorie style, and it was so delicious that I wanted to share it with you all!

Ready?

Start with a bread that is made for wraps. Here is the brand that we used, and I highly suggest this brand. We had used others before for pizzas like thisand they were not this tasty. It was awesome!

My sister heated up a cast iron skillet and gave them a quick turn on each side. Just to make sure it gave our pizza’s a crispier crust.

Take your LIGHTLY browned flat bread and then have fun “making it your way”.

Here are some pizza topping ideas:

*Thinly sliced tomatoes*Olives*Diced Green Peppers*Jalapenos*Onions*Turkey sausage*

Turkey Pepperoni*Low Fat Cheese*Pizza Sauce

I may or may not have used every, single, topping.

Don’t judge me.

Once your toppings are ready, then sprinkle lightly with seasoning. I chose garlic salt.

Ready for the oven!

Have it Pre-Heated to 425 degrees.

Place them in your oven!

We used pizza stones to cook ours on.

That easy!

Even with all of my toppings mine was around 250 to 300 calories and LOW carbs!

I could eat this every day.

And night.

And afternoon.

And for a snack.

    I also want to say that I’m very proud that your b-i-l is able to control his diabetes with diet. Too many people prefer to do it the “easy” way by taking a pill but I believe his way is best if it can be controlled that way. And he already feels much better!

    I’m diabetic and don’t always follow all the rules… but I have lost a ton of weight in the last five years (100 pounds!) and this looks like something that would be fun to try! I’m so glad you shared it with us!
