The blog is back and I am at the Southern Bloggers Conference!

It is 6:55 in the morning and I was so excited to be able to click on my blog name and not see the under maintenance message!!! Yay!!!! Chris has been working hard at getting it restored. He did it! You will also see some more changes as he fine tunes the design this week as well.

In the meantime, we need to catch up!

I won a ticket for the Southern Blogger’s Conference from Heather and Vanessa from At The Picket Fence and haven’t even really had the chance to tell you all about it.

I went “grudgingly” because it meant I had to actually leave my home, leave my hubby, leave my children and get dressed in something more than workout clothes.

But I am here.

On my way here it started hitting me.

Crazy insecurities.

What if no one likes me?

What if they all have “their” bloggy friends and I am a loner?

So, with no blog I reached out to you all.

For those of you that follow me on Facebook, I shared my fears as I was hiding in my room before registration started.

I posted the shirt that Freebird and I had made for last nights “meet and greet” time.

I didn’t know if I should wear it and your support was unanimous. Thank you for being there for me!

Although, apparently this photo is very, very misleading.

I do NOT have big-ole….ummmmm…..girls.

This pic apparently made it appear that I did.

How awful of me!

So, I will be keeping it and blowing it up to a HEE-UGE size and framing it. The end.

With your support, I did wear it.

But I didn’t take my jacket off until I literally about passed out from heat.

Aren’t I brave?

This was the complete outfit that I wore…..

Oh, you didn’t ask to see?

But I thought you had been missing me like I have been missing you?

I didn’t bring the pumpkin and topiary.

I was sweating like a horse riding cowgirl though.

Isn’t that precious and attractive?

It has been fun to put faces with blog names. Meet new people and be inspired at building an even stronger blog.

Providing you all with better content.

I will take pics today, so you can put faces with names.

But before I get my lazy hiney up…I want to tell you something.

Thank you.

Thank you for sticking around while my blog was down.

Thank you for your support.

Thank you for showing me what blogging is about.

The connections we make with each other.

I only hope I can mean as much to you as you all mean to me.

And I will work hard at just that.

Now…I’m off. I’m getting up. For real. No more laying here contemplating washing my hair or not. I’m serious, I am so getting out of this bed.

In a little bit. ; )

Love,

Me

PS. Do you follow my blog? Make sure you do. Also, if you don’t follow me on Facebook, get your hiney over there. It is where we can really chat and hang out! Love you guys!

This is too funny! Unfortunately, due to scheduling conflicts, I couldn’t make this one. Hopefully, there will be one next year!!

You are one cutie-patootie. I don’t think you should worry about making friends or being a loner! Who WOULDN’T want to know you? And I’m glad you’re back!

Hi Rebecca. I’m so glad that you’re back and I’m even more glad that I was able to meet you at the conference! My only regret is that I wasn’t able to spend some time with you. :( And you’re right – it was hot in the area where the meet and greet was on Friday night….

It was SOOOOO hot! I was literally sweating like a man. A sweaty, sweaty man. ; ) I wish I was able to spend more time with you! It was tough to spend any extra time outside of the scheduled seminars. I was a little overwhelmed myself and sooooo insecure at the beginning for some reason? I didn’t expect that feeling and it didn’t hit me until I was almost there and then it was like……I’M a DORK and What am I doing here? : ) Hope to see you at next conference. Was this your first?

  5. You are too funny! I can’t tell you how much fun I had with you! I feel like I met my crazy sarcastic blogging soul mate! And…you totally outed me about boogie checking on facebook. So glad your blog is back up. I’ve got a note right here to send you the invitation we talked about in the morning…right now my eyes are heavy from laughing until 1 am w/ Debbie and Kim.

    Love, Jess
